Nov 2011 | Guitar Shop TV, first album finished

November is finished aaand… so is the first album.  It’ll take a few weeks before we have news on the physical copies, but we’ll keep you up to date.  The 10 track digital version of 21st Century Redemption Songs is available now though…

» 21st Century Redemption Songs – Digital Version
You can buy the digital version for £4.99 by clicking the album cover below, or at our store. It comes with the same liner notes as the physical album (in .pdf format).  Thanks to those who have bought it already.

» Guitar Shop TV

We were the featured Artist Showcase winner on Guitar Shop TV.  Apparantly they picked us out of thousands of videos, and then we won the resultant poll on their site during October.  Strangely it’s for a cameraphone video of us playing Shoulda Said Something at a gig in Belfast.  Anyway, their episodes are great, lots of interviews with famous guitarists.  They did a skype interview with me too, which will be on an upcoming episode.  I’ll post it.  Read their Artist Showcase on us here.

New Upcoming Gigs

» World’s End Festival 2012
We’re on the bill for the World’s End Festival 2012, in Vorderberg Austria. For tickets e-mail vouchers@worlds-end-music.com, but a full website is launching in the new year. Like their facebook page to stay updated. Our date should be August 9th, but we might play sets on different days.

» Belfast Nashville Songwriter’s Festival
We’re playing the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival on Friday 24th February at the King’s Head, Belfast. Also there’ll be Irish songwriter Paul Casey, who’s in Chris Rea’s band. The venue is directly opposite the King’s Hall on the other side of the road. Good memories personally of seeing Declan O’Rourke at this festival in 2009. belfastnashville.com

» Chordblossom
Daveit Ferris of the band The Mascara Story, is launching a N. Irish music website called Chordblossom, who have written a post about 21st Century Redemption Songs. You can read the nice things they said here. They also asked me to write a monthly guest blog about the ups and downs of being in a band. Look out for that, I’ll probably write about UN a lot.

» Nobody Wants To Know @ Radio Galileo

We still haven’t got the audio from the Radio Galileo session with the bass & keyboards, but I had to upload one video from Jacopo’s camera for a feature on us on FB. So here’s a preview anyway, full audio to come:

» Rodger’s Top “Father Ted” moments
In a break from the norm, after this clip of “Shoulda Said” on Ewan Spence’s TPN Rock Show, you’ll see Rodger’s thoughts on his best moments from Channel 4’s timeless clerical comedy – Father Ted.

» Indiecity Feature (Italian)
As mentioned in last month’s blog, the Rome based fanzine Indiecity had a feature about us this month.  For anyone who reads Italian you can download it from their site here.

» 30,000+ Soundcloud Plays
Pleased to see people listening steadily to us on Soundcloud, which powers the player on our homepage.  We passed 30,000 this week, keep it up.  Remember you can embed any song on your blog as a track player.
